Black Lake - June 2015

​This was our first full family vacation to Black Lake.  It was great to spend time relaxing at our home.  Jenn and I worked fairly hard at chores and spruced the place up quite a bit, not to mention the deck no longer leans to one side and bounces.  So that's good.

The water was high.  Like, above the dock when we got there high.  A few hours of underwater construction work and I had it just above the surface.  Charlie and Amelia had fun jumping in and swimming.

The pontoon boat served us well and we caught plenty of fish.  Amelia caught her first bass and Charlie his first perch.  It was staggering how many panfish those two caught right from the deck.  Ali at the Log Cabins taught us "The Worm Trick" which I'm sure we'll use for years to come.

We made a day trip to Old McDonalds Farm in Watertown where the kids enjoyed seeing all the animals and touring a working dairy farm.
