Singleton Lake Campground on the Gananoque River System - Ontario, Canada
***The kids first fishing trip to Canada ***

I decided it was time the kids experience Canada and the amazing fishing it has to offer. Of course I already know that the fishing is secondary to what the North truly offers, adventure and memories that will last a lifetime. I invited Russ and his two oldest boys to join us and we headed north in the trusty Suburban on a warm Sunday morning.
The campground was perfect. We had a three cabin bedroom with views of the lake and the kids were only steps away from a sandy beach and the boat docks. The pontoon boat served us well all week and we caught a ton of fish. Actually, we estimate that we truly hauled in over 1,000 fish. Along with fishing, the kids jumped off rocks into the water, swam, explored islands, rented paddle boats, and even had a full on shore lunch.
The wives outfitted us with delicious meals, which we topped off with ice cream from the camp store. All in all this was the perfect introductory trip for the kids. They are already talking about going back.
PS - next time, hopefully Amelia will remember to pack underwear and a hair brush. That was interesting ......
